Buenos Aires, December 31 (NA) – A City Police officer accused of killing Gabriel González in the Villa 20 settlement was detained in the Buenos Aires Aires town of San Martín. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that it is Gastón Miño, an officer from the 8A Neighborhood Police Station who intervened during the disturbances reported on December 25 on Chilavert and Araujo streets. According to video footage, one of the officers from that station fired a shotgun shot that killed González. Officers from the San Martín Investigations Division conducted a raid and made the arrest of the implicated individual, who was handed over to the Federal Police for his accommodation and is at the disposal of the Justice for the crime of aggravated homicide.

The preliminary autopsy report indicated that the victim died as a result of internal and external hemorrhage, after suffering injuries to the chest and abdomen. The City Police had indicated that an investigation was initiated and one of the officers was made available.
